The beautiful, undulating landscape that surrounds Chassignolles lends itself to both walking and cycling. The sense of space and vastness in this area is compelling and the views are magnificent. There are tracks that run through the forest and can be followed on foot or mountain bike. Bikes, maps and picnics are available from the Auberge. There are several lakes and rivers in the area in which to swim. The nearest of these lies 5km away and has a man-made beach, diving platform and cordoned swimming area. There is a football pitch and an all weather tennis court in the village. Rackets and balls can be borrowed from the Auberge.
